MONMOUTH MP David Davies has signalled his support for police officers by signing The Real Policing Pledge.
The Constables’ Central Committee of the Police Federation has put together a raft of concrete commitments it believes are crucial to securing an effective and flexible police service.
The pledge commits those who sign up to upholding the office of police constable, maintaining the number of police, training police, ensuring adequate police numbers in community teams, and honouring the results of the police negotiating board on pay.
Mr Davies, himself a serving Special Constable, reaffirmed his backing by arranging for the Federation to visit the House of Commons last week in order to lobby other MPs at a special Parliamentary reception.
