A NEW family-run nursery described as a real ‘home-from-home’ has opened its doors in Portskewett.
Cupcakes ‘n’ Dinosaurs is based on Main Road and caters for a maximum of 35 children a day, aged from six weeks to four plus years of age.
The nursery was officially opened by Monmouth MP David Davies at a special celebratory evening on Friday 9th March, attended by over 50 people.
“I’m a father of three young children and I’m aware just how important it is to know they are in a safe environment,” said Mr Davies.
“The wonderful facilities at Cupcakes ‘n’ Dinosaurs are all brand new and the nursery is spotlessly clean. The trained staff love working with children and there is a real ‘home-from-home’ feeling the moment you walk in.”
Owned and managed by a mother and daughter team – a qualified NNEB with over 20 years experience and a qualified primary school teacher with over 12 years experience of working with young children – Cupcakes ‘n’ Dinosaurs offers non-mobile and mobile baby rooms, three toddler/pre-school rooms, a separate dining conservatory and a well-equipped outdoor area. The toys, resources and furniture throughout the building are of the highest quality, earning the nursery the title of ‘luxury childcare’ by visitors. All meals provided are homemade and freshly prepared by the former cook of the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport.
Nursery manager Hayley Jennings added: “This is a dream come true for us. We have put over two years work into making this nursery really special and different for our little people who deserve only the best.
“We are over the moon with the results and the response and comments from parents and children that have visited us has been amazing. To hear the sound of happy babies and children bringing the nursery to life certainly makes all our hard work worthwhile. We can't thank enough friends, family, our staff and everyone who has helped us on our journey to where we are today.""
The nursery is open 8am-6pm Monday to Friday, with part-time and full-time sessions available.
