WITH a £40,000 mentoring package up for grabs, Monmouth MP David Davies is encouraging gifted youngsters to take their talent to the next level by nominating themselves for a prestigious award.
The Ambition AXA Awards initiative is a biennial programme offering young people between the ages of 11-18 the chance to further their ambition in five categories. Whether it’s in sport, enterprise, the arts, science or the community, the prize is a comprehensive mentoring package designed to help Britain’s youth reach their potential.
Entries will be judged by a panel of experts and celebrities, including Apprentice star Karen Brady, Blur’s Alex James and Olympic gold medallist Amy Williams, and a special winners’ ceremony will be held in London in November.
Mr Davies said: “Monmouthshire has an abundance of gifted and driven young people and these awards are a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase their talents. It’s a scheme that offers an experience money can’t buy, but one which will undoubtedly change lives”.
Full information, together with details on how to enter, can be found at www.ambitionaxaawards.com. Applications must be received by 14th October 2011.
