I would like to offer my sincere thanks to all those who supported me throughout the general election campaign.
It is a huge honour to have been successfully re-elected as the Member of Parliament for Monmouth and I will continue to do my utmost to serve the residents of this wonderful constituency.
Within the last week I have returned to Parliament, attended a meeting to discuss the anti-social use of motorcycles on the B4235 near Shirenewton, held an advice surgery, attended a service of commemoration for the men of Overmonnow who gave their lives in the First World War, attended the opening of Monmouth Skatepark, and had dinner with the Prime Minister in Cardiff. It’s great to be back!
I would also like to thank the Labour, Liberal Democrat, UKIP, Plaid Cymru, Green Party and English Democrats candidates for a fair and decent campaign, which did not contain personal attacks or the sort of unpleasantness witnessed in other parts of the UK. I genuinely wish them all the best.
For anyone wanting to get in touch, my parliamentary email address is now up and running at david.davies.mp@parliament.uk. Alternatively, please telephone the constituency office in Usk on 01291 672817.
